What are your rates?
What is your day rate, or how much do you charge for an hour?
Are both questions we are asked on a fairly regular basis and I do understand why, people are busy and just need to get some figures to give to their boss who has asked you to
BUT We don’t give out rates over the phone for the simple reason that we don’t have all the information and things can get easily overlooked that will change the cost of a shoot, if additional services are required or we determine it will take longer than one hour to shoot something… so for this reason we talk to every potential client first and only then do we send a detailed estimate once we have all the relevant information.
This means we are all clear on the requirements of a potential project and the related costs and no one is guessing how much it may cost or wrongly assuming a service is included when it isn’t
This policy helps everyone and allows us at Altitude to be supremely detailed and accurate with every estimate that we send out to a potential client this way there are no nasty surprises and clients know exactly what they will charged for our services
OUR POLICY ON PAYMENT FOR NEW CLIENTS
We do ask for a 50% Deposit up front from new clients we’ve never worked with before and this allows us to lock in shoot dates
Then we ask that the balance of the remaining invoice be paid in full before any edited assets or deliverables are released
